There are many times in our lives when we are so tired that we can’t even find the power to move on. People are either disappointing us, either we are in limited situations and we’ve consumed all our energy or we’re looking in the wrong direction. We are robbed by so many things that we don’t have time for ourselves, that useful time that can be used to recharge ourselves. The mobile phones, the iPads, the laptops, the computers, the TVs and many other things are kidnapping the little time we have left, time that will never come back to us. Instead of living our real lives we are always online.
I used to be like that too. But this morning the power went off for several hours. Oh, what a blessing! My phone was not charged, so I wasn’t interrupted by messages, callings or notifications. We couldn’t use the washing machine, the stove or the vacuum cleaner. I was home with my little boy and I made the best of the situation. I played with him, we talked a lot and I really enjoyed his every single smile. We must wake up and it doesn’t really matter if you are a mom, a boy or a girl! The time we have today will never return to us. Disconnect yourself from all modern devices and enjoy the life God gave you for now. Be careful, maybe you’ll wake up too late and you’ll regret it for the rest of your life.
I’ve ordered online some wonderful books. I intend to replace my mobile phone with some other objects and moments that will help me improve myself and enjoy those who are near me. I’ll make an account for each book I’m going to read these days but until then I can hardly wait to have them. I must leave you now – I’m going to enjoy my blessings which are many.
